A Collection of Fine Art Photographs by:

Fran Bitett Beck (Curator) – Beck, A seasoned local photographer, has exhibited extensively throughout the US. Her work has been showcased in numerous publications and she has been the recipient of The South Florida Cultural Consortium Fellowship in both 1996 and 2003.

Devorah Bowen – Bowen, Received her MFA in photography from FIU, Miami. She has had her photographs exhibited both nationally and internationally and is part of several permanent collections. In her current series, she confronts issues and emotions surrounding the loss of a loved one.

Melisa Caprio (Curator) – Caprio, Graduated with a BFA in photography. Her work has been exhibited nationally and Caprio has been published extensively internationally with her Dolphin Human Therapy work. She is currently working on a new project, Postcards to the Universe where she is photographing art, written desires and affirmations with that work she is creating fine art photography books.

Eduardo Del Valle & Mira Gomez – The Cuban-born husband and wife team of Del Valle & Gomez have worked collaboratively for more than thirty-five years, receiving international acclaim for their photographs of subjects in a state of flux. They are the recipients of numerous artist’s fellowships including the prestigious John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation. Del Valle & Gomez are authors of several monographs all published by Nazraeli Press and are represented by Jim Kempner Fine Art Gallery in NY. They are professors of art and photography at FIU, Miami.

Rob Friedman – Friedman, Holds a MFA in photography and his photographs have been exhibited and collected nationally, including the Museum of Modern Art in NY. He is a recipient of The South Florida Cultural Consortium Fellowship in 2007. He teaches photography at Miami Palmetto Senior High School.

Alex Heria – Heria, holds a MFA in photography and is a Miami based artist, photographer and designer. His photography work features an emphasis on enhanced cinematic experience in the everyday quotidian world. His photography has been exhibited locally and is in numerous private collections. Currently he is an artist-in-residence at the Fountainhead Studios.

Stephen B. Mack – Mack, A local photographer has been exhibited and published nationally. Mack’s current series “Rockscapes” feature local rock pits before they became subdivisions or shopping centers. The photographs are reminiscent of Ansel Adams majestic landscapes.

Daniel C. Mintz – Mintz, Holds an MFA in photography and is an award winning professional photographer with twenty years experience. Mintz has participated in as many as fifty juried exhibitions and contests and has been widely published.

Joseph Tamargo – Tamargo, A widely published artist has exhibited extensively nationally and internationally. Tamargo has received the prestigious Fulbright Fellowship in Chile and has his work in the permanent collection of The George Eastman House of Photography and Film. Currently, Tamargo teaches and directs the photography program at The Wolfson Campus of Miami Dade College.

Issac Allen Sandy (Featured Artist) – Sandy, A well known artist in Florida has exhibited extensively and is collected throughout the US and Canada. Sandy has received numerous awards and recognition for his photographs.

Featuring Florida Photography event at 1310 Gallery, Ft. Lauderdale is Curated by Photographers Melisa Caprio and Fran Bitett Beck. 

Caprio has been exhibited nationally and published extensively internationally with her Dolphin Human Therapy work. Currently Caprio launched a new project called Postcards to the Universe where she is photographing art, written desires and affirmations, creating fine art photography books.

Beck has exhibited throughout the USA along with being showcased in numerous publications. She is the recipient of the South Florida Cultural Consortium Fellowship

Parking is available in the lot next to the Red&White house just East of us on SW 2nd Ct and on surrounding streets.

In addition to parking in the parking lot there is also:
+ Parking all along SW 2nd Court/Middle Street
+ Church parking lot and field across from Fire Museum on West Las Olas
+ Empty lot directly next to lofts along SW 2nd Court/Middle Street.
+ Any Swells even those with no parking signs. They are fine on Event Nights.

Local parking authorities have been advised to not ticket during posted events at any of the designated parking areas.

Niki Lopez

Niki Lopez Afro-Latina, Queer, interdisciplinary Visual Artist, Curator, Social Practioner, Cultural Programer, award-winning Graphic Designer and Mom. Lopez is best known for her masks and a collection of works dealing with some of her trauma and healing through the arts which inspired her to create What’s Your Elephant ®. Lopez produces “The Circle”, a bi-weekly Facebook/Youtube live-video podcast sharing stories of our creative community, activists & social entrepreneurs. Niki’s advocacy includes mental health, self-care, and diversity in swimming. Lopez is one of the founding members of the Sailboat Artist Lofts.
