The Art Of Brew | A Benefit Auction, Art Exhibition and Fundraiser Event for the Young At Art Museum

In benefit of the new 55,000 square-foot GOLD LEED-certified Young At Art Museum opening Spring 2012 in Davie, the Bedlam Lorenz Assembly presents “The Art of Brew” – an interactive art exhibition, silent auction and fundraiser raffle, pairing food, drink and place.

The event will feature work by artists: Leah Brown, Pablo Cano, Rory Carracino, Adrienne Chadwick, Clifton Childree, Peter Exley, Francie Bishop Good, Rachel Henriques, Douglas Hoekzema, Chisseko Kondowe, Nino Liguori, Francesco Lo Castro, Jillian Mayer, Josafat Miranda, Margi Nothard, Christina Park, Cristina Rucker, Mindy Shrago, Serafima Sokolov, Ali Spechler, Peter Symons, Ilian Velasco, Michelle Weinberg and Purvis Young; the culinary flavors of Slow Food Truck, Tastebud’s Creative Food Service and Theirry’s Catering, paired with a showcase of craft beers made by B.R.E.W.(Biscayne’s Renowned Engineers of Wort) FIU, a beer lab organization run by the students enrolled in the Chaplin School of Hospitality and Tourism Management, and select locally brewed beers from Brown Distributing.

A preview of the event installation in progress with a live interactive performance will be open to the public 7-11 pm, Saturday, September 24, 2011, in conjunction with September’s Art Walk, followed by an after-party at Green Room, in Downtown Fort Lauderdale, promoting the main event with discounted ticket prices.

The Art of Brew’s art exhibition will re-open on October 15, 2011 at 6 pm in conjunction with downtown Fort Lauderdale’s Art Fallout contemporary art showcase.

“The Art Of Brew” opens 7 pm, Friday, September 30, 2011 at Fort Lauderdale’s premiere emergent exhibition grounds, The Project Space, in F.A.T.(Flagler Arts and Technology) Village.

Niki Lopez

Niki Lopez Afro-Latina, Queer, interdisciplinary Visual Artist, Curator, Social Practioner, Cultural Programer, award-winning Graphic Designer and Mom. Lopez is best known for her masks and a collection of works dealing with some of her trauma and healing through the arts which inspired her to create What’s Your Elephant ®. Lopez produces “The Circle”, a bi-weekly Facebook/Youtube live-video podcast sharing stories of our creative community, activists & social entrepreneurs. Niki’s advocacy includes mental health, self-care, and diversity in swimming. Lopez is one of the founding members of the Sailboat Artist Lofts.
