Christinevstone About the Artist:

BIG, BRIGHT AND BOLD! That’s how I would describe my acrylic paintings. They are scenarios that depict happy, care-free, romantic, uplifting events and places.

In this crazy world, full of stress and worry we need an outlet, a place to escape to, even if just in your mind. I would like to share a place with you. So come get away from it all for just a moment in time. When you gaze upon the painting feel the soft blanket as you sit down , let the color and scenery envelope and take you to a happy space in time, where there is joy, peace and serenity. Breathe in the fresh air, hear the birds, feel the breeze…smell the pretty rose awaiting you there… be still and know He is God! My faith keeps me centered and inspired for the happy things in life that I have been blessed with. My hope is that these blessings will be portrayed and expressed through my art.

I was born in Brooklyn, NY, moved to Livingston NJ, when I was two, lived there until my pre-teens. At a young age I showed an interest in art…coloring books were pushed aside, my preference plain paper and a pencil so iI could draw my own fascinations and designs. My dad traveled the world with his job, I missed him so much and would connect by drawing landscapes of where I thought he might be . I remember him being impressed with how similar the landscapes were to the topography of where he had been on his trip. So my mom enrolled me in a summer art course. We moved to the Berkshires in western Massachusetts when I was 11 and that’s where I developed my love for art. I attended middle school and high school there spending a lot of my free time in the art room. I graduated from Lee High School with an art scholarship and proceeded on to earn my Associates Degree

in Visual Arts at Berkshire Community College.

My father died when I was 13, a few short years after moving to Lee in Berkshire County. I missed him so much that I wanted to learn more about his family heritage. After college I moved to Medellin, Colombia, to live with relatives. There I learned to speak Spanish and put the finishing touches on my education. I attended La Academia Superior de Arte. My course of study included; a combination of art, architecture and design. It was an intense 4 year study of which I attended 3 years. Family issues called me home to the U.S.
As life goes on we grow, we move and change…wounds heal…we grow some more and move forward…we search to find ourselves only to discover we are right here….where God has placed us….

Presently I reside in the Ft. Lauderdale, Florida area. My art is on display at Studio 19 Fine Art in Ft. Lauderdale. My art has also been exhibited at Art Vue Galerie, in beautiful Historic Cocoa Village, Florida and at Windisch-Hunt Gallery in Coconut Grove, ,Florida I have also attended many juried art shows in South Florida; Broward Art Guild, River of Grass, Pembroke, downtown Art and Living Expo at beautiful Lake Eola, Orlando and Howard Alan Fine Art Shows, Las Olas, Naples, Jupiter and Juno Beach.
